Thanks for posting my comment about Jake! I was able to go to the hospital last night in a handi-cap taxi. When I got to Jake’s room, everyone was very somber! I asked how he was doing and all I got was negitive head shakes. I rolled up by his bed and took his hand in mine. “Daddy?” he mumbled. “Yes Son, it’s me!” “I love you Daddy!” That was the first time he had spoken! The nurse was taken back as was the family. I talked to him some more but there was nothing further from him. I got a call this morning from his Mom. Jake passed away early this morning. Need-less to say I am heart broken! He was able to have some good times before he passed away.
A REALLY tough day! My presious little boy laid to rest. A nice ceremony which his Grand Pa did most of. He said that Jake died happy because of one person, Brandon. “When Brandon came in to his hospital room and took his hand, he said, “I love you Daddy!” Those were the only words he spoke before he died. Jake and Brandon had such a wonderful and close relationship which the entire family is grateful for!”, Grandpa really was careful with his words! I was in tears during the entire ceremony! Grand Pa asked me if I wanted a few moments alone with Jake. All I could do was nod my head yes. Betsy came to me after a couple of minutes and put her hand on my shoulder.
